RATIONALE
In recent years, Lastimoso and SantiaƱez (2021) recorded more than 1000 seaweed taxa, and among these are about 350 seaweed species that have known economic values. Thus the call to diversity to our seaweed resources for cultivation. one of which is a red seaweed – Halymenia durvillei that is commonly found attached to rocks in the lower and upper subtidal areas with moderate exposure to wave action and current.
OBJECTIVE
To determine the feasibility of sea-based farming of Halymenia durvillei in three selected sites in Batangas Province using the floating raft method for cultivation by their growth rate and pigment.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
