PSCB 2nd International and 9th Annual Convention

VIP CORALS research faculty member, Rubylyn Infante, attends the Philippine Society for Cell Biology (PSCB) 2nd International and 9th Annual Convention last October 22, 2018. The event was held at the Central Laboratory, University of Santo Tomas, Manila. 

One of the speakers, Dr. Shan He of the event talked about Applications of Marine Natural Products with his presentation entitled “International Innovation in Marine Biomedicine.”

Emilia Sabban attends Habilin2018, a sustainable event organized by Kids for Kids Philippines held last October 20, 2018 at the Green Sun, Chino Roces Avenue Extension, Makati City, 2285 Chino Roces Ave, Makati. 

This event was partnered with different organizations such as 1) Marine Wildlife Watch of the Philippines, 2) Reef Check Philippines, 3) SEA Institute (SEA-VIP), 4) Mindoro Biodiversity Conservation Foundation, 5) Danjugan Island and 6) Ecowaste Coalition.

VIP CORALS celebrated #VIPAwarenessWeek2018

In celebration of #VIPAwarenessWeek2018, VIP CORALS conducted a seminar series last week, September 18 with the theme: “Beneath the Blue: Marvels of the Deep.” The activity was held in collaboration with Biology Majors Student Society (BioMaSS), Biology Faculty and students and Batangas Scuba Academy (BSA).

A one-month long photo exhibit by BSA and BioMaSS will also be displayed at the first floor of CITE Building, Batangas State University Main Campus I. Please come and visit!

If you have any questions or wish to discuss possible collaborations with VIP CORALS, you may drop by the Research Office, 4th floor, CIRTC and look for our center head, Dr. Jayvee Ablaña Saco. Students may also request permission to use the equipment housed on the 2nd floor Bio labs for research and study purposes.
