Research involving these collections will help promote biodiversity, conservation, and management of the marine resources in the Verde Island Passage.
Objectives
This project aimed to establish a central repository for specimens, literature, and other relevant information related to the VIP.
Accomplishments
- Publications from this project include a feature article titled “The VIP CORALS Marine Repository Hub: Laying foundations for science and discovery in the VIP,” which was published in the Philippine Science Letters.
- A coffee table book titled “Life in the Waters of Isla Verde” was also published.
- The repository is continuing to curate specimens from the current projects of the center.
